This Summer, We’re #SeeingYellow

June 1, 2020

We hope you’re staying safe, and thank you for your continued support. As our economy slowly starts to re-launch, we are pleased to announce that our #SeeingYellow campaign will be returning for 2020 – starting today!

Last year, we launched our #SeeingYellow campaign in June, serving as a month-long initiative that encouraged our Allies to show their support for our cause. Across the country, we had Allies support by wearing and showcasing yellow, selling #NotInMyCity merchandise, creating fundraisers and having conversations with others about the realities of this crime. Thank you to our many supporters!

This year, our #SeeingYellow campaign will take place from June 1 through August 31. We know the world looks a little different right now, but there are still a number of ways you or your organization can participate in #SeeingYellow and make a difference in the lives of victims of sexual exploitation.

Supporting #SeeingYellow as a Business

If your organization would like to support our #SeeingYellow efforts, here are some ways you can participate:

  • Post our #NotInMyCity yellow rose in your place of business

  • Encourage your employees to purchase merchandise through our online shop

  • Dedicate an area of your store to yellow merchandise, including awareness materials about our cause

  • Host a fundraising initiative among your team

  • Share proceeds from a dedicated yellow product to #NotInMyCity

  • Assemble hygiene bags or food hampers for our immediate work with our Ally Agencies. You can view more details here.

If you’re an individual and would like to support our campaign, you can:

  • Shop our store for merchandise – Be sure to check out our new socks from the Friday Sock Company (perfect for Fathers’ Day!), or our latest scarf designed by Fashion Designer Icon and Ally Paul Hardy.

  • Show others that you agree that the sexual exploitation of children and youth is wrong. Post our yellow rose on  your vehicle, mailbox or window.

  • Host a virtual fundraiser to support the cause

  • Tell your friends about #NotInMyCity and the important work we are doing to help end human trafficking.

Stay tuned for more details as we continue to roll out our efforts.

On June 20,  Calgary will be “Seeing Yellow” when the Calgary Tower once again lights up in yellow for our cause. We can’t wait to see how you’re #SeeingYellow. Use the hashtag and remember to tag @NIMCAlly in your posts. Thank you for being an Ally!
