Last year on June 20, we saw the Calgary Tower and Reconciliation Bridge lit up in yellow in support of #NotInMyCity’s movement to end sexual exploitation and trafficking here in YYC, and across Canada.

This year, we engaged local groups, businesses and individuals to help us See Yellow for the entire month to build awareness of the issue, and raise funds to support our work. Allies participated in this campaign in a variety of ways, including:

• The Calgary Tower and Telus Spark lit up in yellow on June 20

• Pop-Up events held at charbar, Blu’s, and Arts Commons to engage with the local community and sell merchandise

• Fundraising events held on behalf of #NIMC by Canada Westland Services, H3M Environmental, Project Management Institute and West  Jet Tech Ops

• Breakfast TV anchors wearing #NIMC pins

• Getting the word out on social media

• Displaying our yellow rose decal on cars, storefronts, laptops and mailboxes
