#NotInMyCity Allies Morgan MeInyk, Lyle Peterman and Mallory Welechenko hosted the 3rd annual A Not So Silent Nite event on Thursday, December 2, 2021. They are the co-chairs and founders of this event, and thanks to their incredible efforts and the generosity of those in attendance, this year they helped raise $20,000 for our cause.
The evening celebrated the holiday season with live music from local musicians at the Calgary Petroleum Club. Artists including Michela Sheedy, Devin Cooper, Mitch Belot Band and Justine Rowbotham, Greg Albright and the Not So Brites, Drew Gregory and The Rondel Roberts Band made the night one to remember for attendees.
In addition to a night of live music, guests at the event and virtually bid on silent auction items.
MeInyk says, “This night was such as success thanks to our many guests and local partners including Charles Real Estate, Wild 95.3, Forte Sound & Stage, BLKWTR Creative, Purple Orchid and Be Seen Street Team YYC. Our hearts are full knowing that the money we have raised will go to #NotInMyCity to continue the fight to end human trafficking in Canada.”
In total, over three years, the event has raised $39,090 for #NotInMyCity. MeInyk and his team are already looking forward to next year.
