What happens when you can combine a passion for hosting events, supporting music and raising funds for a worthy cause? Just ask Morgan Melnyk, Lyle Peterman and Mallory Welechenko, co-chairs and founders of “A Not So Silent Nite”, an annual fundraiser they run in support of #NotInMyCity.
After moving the event online due to the pandemic in 2020, Morgan, Lyle and Mallory are optimistic and excited about re-launching an in-person event this year, taking place on Thursday, December 2 at the Calgary Petroleum Club.
Says Melnyk, “We are looking forward to safely bringing people back together again to celebrate great music and entertainment in the name of an important cause. Tickets are selling very quickly, and we are working hard to create a safe, fun and memorable evening for all.”
A who’s who of local talent will perform at the event, including Drew Gregory, Greg Albright & The NotSoBrites, Mitch Belot & Justine Rowbotham, Rondel Band Duo, Devin Cooper, Alex Hughes and Michela Sheedy.
For those unable to attend in person, the A Not So Silent Nite team will once again be holding an online silent auction, providing an opportunity for everyone to bid on terrific prizes, all in support of #NotInMyCity. The silent auction can be accessed at: https://airauctioneer.com/anotsosilentauction
Says Lyle Peterman, “While we had to move our event online last year, a silver lining was the opportunity for more people to engage with our silent auction. We decided to continue this format, providing a chance for anyone to bid on items, whether in the ballroom, at home or away.”
There are four tiers of tickets, including VIP (now sold out), Tier 1 at $125 per seat, Tier 2 at $100 per seat and Tier 3 at $75 per seat. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.showpass.com/anotsosilentnite2021/. All tickets are sold in pairs of two or greater, with all proceeds supporting #NotInMyCity.
A Not So Silent Nite also has a team of partners, sponsors and supports that are helping to bring the event to life including: Charles Real Estate, Wild 95.3, Forte Sound & Stage and BLKWTR Creative.
Restrictions Exemption Program will be followed for this event. Proof of vaccine, a negative test result, or medical exemption will be required prior to entry along with a valid photo ID. Masks must be worn when not seated.
We appreciate the support and dedication from Allies like Morgan, Lyle and Mallory, who stand with us and support our work.
